New Years Resolutions

I am back! Sometime (soon) I will start writing weekly, but life happens and usually gets in the way.

2014 was a very mixed year for me, containing happy moments interspersed with some extremely hard ones. I'm determined for 2015 to be a good year for me and need to make some resolutions to make this happen:

Take more photos!
I love taking photos. I'm not very good - though I'm excited to start learning to be better - but really enjoy it. I think photos can have a lot behind them and they are great to look back on. Photos are a brilliant way to capture a moment, place or person and have it with you forever; which is a wonderful thing to be able to do.
One of my favourite photos that I took whilst
in the Caribbean earlier this month!
Scrapbook
This follows seamlessly from the last one, scrapbooking is a quick and creative way to compile all of the photos that you have taken throughout the year. I also think it will be fun to flip through at the end of the year (like a Flipagram, but less annoying.)

Cut out the negativity
I had a lot of changes on the friendship front last year and find that it is a real happiness boost to cut out relationships that have gone stale. It doesn't matter how long you have been friends with someone; if that friendship isn't making you happy - don't stay in it!

Work harder at school
This is really important for me. I didn't work as hard as I could in my GCSE's and though my results were alright, I know I could have done a lot better. I want to prove to myself, and others, that I am intelligent and can do well in my AS Levels.

Be more creative
On the inside, I'm a really creative person. I have many ideas running around but don't have the skills or opportunity to share them. I'm determined to let some of that creativity come out, I'm just not sure how.

Find the balance between online/real life
I became a lot more involved with the internet community during 2014 and whilst I don't regret it at all, I find it is easy to become submerged in a place that doesn't exist. Twitter is there for fun, an occasional scroll for 5 minutes throughout the day; not to spend 12 hours a day on - I need to remind myself that.

I have many more resolutions, but that's all I'm willing to share! Hopefully (no promises) there will be another post up next week.
Love,
Sophie x
